TIMBER IMPREGNATION

High-Quality Wood Impregnation Technology

To extend the lifespan of wood, professional treatment is essential to protect it from moisture, pests, and other environmental factors. To ensure wood durability, ALA Lignea employs ALA Treetment, one of the most effective methods—vacuum-pressure impregnation, which allows deep penetration of impregnation agents into all layers of the wood.

In this process, the wood is placed in a specialized autoclave chamber, where all the air is initially extracted, creating a vacuum state. This step prepares the wood pores to absorb the impregnation agent as effectively as possible. Once the vacuum is achieved, the selected impregnation solution is introduced into the chamber using high hydraulic pressure of up to 12 bar. This ensures that the impregnation substances deeply penetrate the wood, protecting it from mold, rot, and pests.

After a specific time period, a new vacuum state is created in the chamber to remove excess impregnation solution. In the final phase of the process, the pressure in the chamber is equalized with atmospheric pressure, ensuring that the impregnation substances fully and evenly fill the wood cells. This method provides high protection and significant durability, even when the wood is exposed to harsh conditions for extended periods.

Impregnation Classification by Application

Our impregnated wood selection is available in green (Tanalith E), brown (Tanatone), and gray (Axil 3000p+ gris anthracite), depending on customer preferences and material usage conditions.

  • Class I & II – Suitable for use in dry environments where the wood does not come into contact with moisture or weather conditions. The price for wood in these classes is available in two colors.
  • Class III – Designed for use in areas where the material may regularly come into contact with moisture, such as terraces, balconies, or other outdoor structures. Impregnation in this class is available only for carefully dried pine wood to ensure the best impregnation effect.
  • Class IV – Intended for intensive use in the most challenging conditions, including direct contact with wet soil and water. We recommend impregnated wood in this class for structures exposed to damp or wet environments, such as boardwalks, pond edges, and other outdoor applications. This impregnation is also available exclusively for dried pine wood.
