ALA Lignea

The company ALA Lignea was founded in 2005 with the goal of offering high-quality sawn timber to the European market. In the early days, by exporting timber to the United Kingdom, we took pride in the fact that all our products offered on the market were exclusively produced in the best sawmills in Latvia. Over time, as we grew, we strengthened our market presence and earned a reputation as a reliable partner both in Latvia and beyond.

Our strength - Lemburgas sawmill

In 2007, as demand grew and we expanded, we opened our own production facility—Lemburgas Sawmill in Sidgunda, Mālpils Parish, Sigulda Municipality—to fully manage production processes and quality standards. Today, Lemburgas Sawmill is home to more than 50 employees who work to ensure top-quality products, excellence, and sustainability at every stage of our company’s operations.

Quality is a priority

We know that quality makes a difference and impacts the market. Every year, ALA Lignea produces and processes over 25,000 m³ of softwood timber, a significant portion of which is treated with Tanalith E (green), Tanatone (brown), and Axil 3000p+ gris anthracite (gray) protective agents using advanced vacuum-pressure technology. This treatment enhances the durability of our wood, making it more resistant to weather conditions.

Sustainability

ALA Lignea maintains FSC® (FSC-CO16285) and PEFC (PEFC/12-31-035) chain of custody certification, ensuring that the timber used in production comes from sustainably managed forests.
